The omnipresent God does not involve Himself in anyone’s sinful or virtuous deeds. Living beings are deluded because their inner knowledge is obscured by ignorance.
Description
God is not responsible for anyone’s virtuous deeds or sinful actions. His work in this regard is threefold:
He provides the soul with the power to act.
He observes the actions performed using that power.
He delivers the results of those actions.
The individual soul has the freedom to perform good or bad actions through its own free will. This free will is fundamental to creation and accounts for the varying levels of consciousness among souls. God’s role is like that of an umpire in a cricket match, announcing, “Four runs!” “Six runs!” or “He’s out!” The umpire’s decisions are based on the player’s performance and are not to be blamed.
One may wonder why God granted free will to the soul. It is because the soul, being a tiny part of God, possesses His qualities to a minuscule extent. God is supremely independent (abhijña swarāṭ), and so the soul also has a tiny amount of independence to use its senses, mind, and intellect as it wishes.
Additionally, without free will, there can be no love. A machine cannot love as it has no independence to choose. Only a being with the ability to choose can love. Since God created us to love Him, He endowed us with free will. The use of our free will leads to good and bad deeds, and we must not blame God for them.
In ignorance, some souls do not realize they have the freedom to choose their actions and hold God responsible for their mistakes. Others recognize their free will but harbor the pride of doership, identifying with the body. This too is a sign of ignorance. Shree Krishna explains next how such ignorance can be dispelled.

रात के अँधेरे को दूर करने में सूर्य की शक्ति अद्वितीय है। रामायण में कहा गया है:
राकापति शोहोरस उहिं तारगाना समुदै
सकला गिरिन्ह दावा लाइआ बिनु रबि रति न जाई
“बादल रहित आकाश में पूर्णिमा के चंद्रमा और सभी दृश्यमान तारों की संयुक्त रोशनी के बावजूद, रात गायब नहीं होती है। लेकिन जैसे ही सूरज उगता है, रात तेजी से गायब हो जाती है। सूर्य का प्रकाश इतना शक्तिशाली है कि उसके सामने अंधकार टिक ही नहीं सकता। इसी प्रकार, ईश्वर के ज्ञान का प्रकाश अज्ञानता के अंधकार को प्रभावी ढंग से दूर कर देता है।
अंधकार भ्रम पैदा करता है. सिनेमा हॉल के अंधेरे में स्क्रीन पर पड़ने वाली रोशनी दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर वास्तविकता का भ्रम पैदा करती है। हालाँकि, जब मुख्य लाइटें चालू हो जाती हैं, तो भ्रम गायब हो जाता है और लोगों को एहसास होता है कि वे केवल एक फिल्म देख रहे थे। उसी प्रकार अज्ञान के अन्धकार में हम शरीर को पहचान लेते हैं और स्वयं को अपने कर्मों का कर्ता और भोक्ता मान लेते हैं। जब ईश्वर के ज्ञान का प्रकाश चमकता है, तो भ्रम तेजी से दूर हो जाता है, और आत्मा नौ द्वारों वाले शहर में रहते हुए भी अपनी वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक पहचान के प्रति जागृत हो जाती है। आत्मा भ्रम में पड़ गई थी क्योंकि भगवान की भौतिक ऊर्जा (अविद्या शक्ति) ने उसे अंधकार में ढक दिया था। यह भ्रम तब दूर हो जाता है जब भगवान की आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा (विद्या शक्ति) इसे ज्ञान के प्रकाश से प्रकाशित करती है।
ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ God ଶ୍ବର ନିଜକୁ କାହାର ପାପପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କିମ୍ବା ଗୁଣାତ୍ମକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ଜଡିତ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ | ଜୀବମାନେ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି କାରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ତର୍ନିହିତ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଅଜ୍ଞତା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲୁଚି ରହିଥାଏ |

ରାତିର ଅନ୍ଧକାରକୁ ଦୂର କରିବାରେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟଙ୍କ ଶକ୍ତି ଅତୁଳନୀୟ | ରାମାୟଣ କହିଛି:
rākāpati ṣhoṛasa uahiñ tārāgana samudāi |
sakala girinha dava lāia binu rabi rāti na jāi |
