The teachings of Shree Krishna are impeccably designed for our eternal welfare. However, our limited material intellect often fails to grasp the sublime nature of these teachings or their profound benefits. In such cases, faith becomes crucial for accepting the divine wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. Instead of criticizing what we cannot fully understand, we should humbly submit our intellect and cultivate faith in the words of the Guru and the scriptures.
Śhraddhā, or faith, is characterized by a firm belief in the teachings of the Guru and the scriptures, even when they surpass our current understanding. It involves earnestly embracing the comprehensible aspects of the Bhagavad Gita while trusting that the abstruse parts will become clear with spiritual progress.
However, one common flaw of the material intellect is pride, leading to the rejection of what it cannot comprehend. Despite being offered by the omniscient Lord for our benefit, some individuals still find fault in these teachings due to their lack of discrimination. Such individuals disregard the path to eternal salvation and ultimately bring about their own downfall by rejecting divine guidance.
