O vanquisher of foes, the noble kings received this sacred science of Yoga through an unbroken lineage. However, over the course of time, it became lost to the world.
Description
In the transmission of divine knowledge, disciples grasp the science of God-realization from their Guru, who in turn received it from their Guru. This lineage traces back to God Himself, the primal Guru of the world.
As described in the Bhagavatam (1.1.1), Brahma, the first-born, received this wisdom from God at the dawn of creation, passing it on through successive generations. Shree Krishna affirmed in the scriptures that he also imparted this knowledge to the Sun God, Vivasvan, continuing the tradition.
Yet, the transient nature of the material realm leads to the erosion of this knowledge over time. Worldly and insincere disciples distort teachings to fit their flawed perspectives, corrupting its purity within generations. In such moments, by His boundless grace, God restores this tradition for humanity’s welfare. This restoration can occur through divine descent or through an enlightened Saint, serving as a conduit for God’s work.
Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, the fifth original Jagadguru in Indian history, embodies such divine inspiration. At the age of thirty-four, he was honored by the Kashi Vidvat Parishat as Jagadguru, joining the esteemed ranks of spiritual luminaries like Shankaracharya and Ramanujacharya.
